Local Associates
We are
pleased to announce that The Lincolnite have joined the
network as the head line sponsor. Their involvement will drive
interest in this project and offer exposure to all team associates.
They will also be instrumental in a project that will offer members
of the public the chance to have their photos put on the car. We
think this engagement with the people of Lincolnshire will also
benefit our team associates and we are planning an open house event
at the workshop prior to the start of the season.
Showcase
Signs, based on Westminster Industrial Estate in Lincoln, have
confirmed their support for the team. Tasked with the important job
of producing the graphics for the race car they will work closely
with fellow team associate World On A Tripod. The team at Showcase
will also be responsible for producing the sponsors boards which will
be displayed in the pit garage.
Pentagon
Lincoln have confirmed their support for the team. They
have become quickly established in the area offering Citreon, Dacia,
Jeep, Mazda and Renault from their showrooms on Tritton Road. Other
marques provided by the group include Vauxhall, Alfa Romeo, Peugeot,
Fiat, Nissan and Seat. Pentagon Lincoln have exciting plans for their
Renault dealership in 2016 and gaining an association with a local
team competing in Renault UK Clio Cup was a logical decision.
Lincolnshire
Radiators have renewed their support for the third year running.
We have a close working relationship with the company and Manager,
Dave Campbell, helped out during the rebuild of our Michelin Clio Cup
Series car last year. Lincolnshire Radiators supply, repair &
custom build radiators and fuel tanks for a wide range of vehicles
with a specialism in classic cars and HGVs. The company is part of
Partic Motor Spares and can supply number plates and a wide range of
mechanical parts.
Regor
Office Supplies have been a long term supplier to Paint Perfect
and realising the potential in this project have signed up as the
latest local sponsor. The business supplies a wide range of office
equipment, furniture, stationary and consumables.

Motorsport took delivery of the car on 11th February
following a test session at Brands Hatch on the Indy circuit. The
first two rounds of the season are held on the 1.2 mile circuit that
includes the famous Paddock Hill bend. The TOCA package then returns
to Brands Hatch for the season finale in October held on the longer
Grand Prix circuit.
The test
was only Anton's second time in the latest generation Clio Cup car
after winning a test session as part of his 2014 Michelin Clio Cup
Series Road Class Champion's prize package.
The day
was also the first time MWT Automotive got hands on experience with
the new car. Working closely with Westbourne Motorsport they will
have access to set up information and performance data from previous
races to wring as much performance as possible from the Clio.
With
fellow Clio Cup competitors including an ex-Clio Cup champion on
circuit it became clear that Anton was on the pace and remarked that
there is more to come from himself and the car. This means our first
goal of top ten finishes for the early part of the season looks like
an achievable short term target.
The test
was quickly backed up with a track day at Donington Park which gave
Anton more valuable time in the car. Despite the cold temperature the
team were able to perfect the set up. Once again Anton was joined on
circuit by another Clio. He had the legs on his competitor and
spectators were treated to some nose to tail running when the
controls of the other team's Clio were handed over to instructor,
Josh Files. As it was a public track day overtaking is strictly
controlled but it was good to see Anton on only his third session in
the car hanging off the back bumper of the 2013 UK & European
Clio Cup double champion.

The
series media launch takes place on Wednesday 23rd March at
Rockingham Motor Speedway. The international specification venue,
located just outside Corby, is unique in the UK with it's banked
NASCAR style corners and colossal grandstands. As well as the
official launch for the 2016 UK Clio Cup the day will also be the
first 2016 outing for MSA Formula Ford. Press and team sponsors will
be able to see the cars in action, up close in the pits and network

PP
Motorsport will be hosting an open day at the Clayton Road workshop
on Sunday 20th March, more details to be announced in due
course.
Plans
for also forming for a sponsors only networking event on Friday 15th
April to be held in Lincoln. Details are to be confirmed but it is
proposed the event will consist of a group activity followed by
lunch.
National
Sponsor News
The team
are in negotiations with a large national company regarding title
sponsorship for the 2016 season. Details will be announced as soon as
the deal is confirmed.
